Arminger establishes the fact that Mary of Magdala played an important role in the first century of Christendom (according to the gospels) and in the Middle Ages ( as is shown e.g. in the Legenda Aurea). For a long time this realisation lay as an unexploded bomb under the established views of Church authorities. When the world wide web became available, this bomb has exploded, since all kind of data are there for everyone to check. We begin to realise what might have been. The inspiring example that Mary of Magdala could have provided was taken away from the Church, thrown away and lost.
