Have you read our section on the need of speaking out?We recommend the dramatization/reconstruction of the ancient rite of ordaining women deacons. This is a powerful tool to show that women did receive Holy Orders. If they could be deacons then, they can be priests now - for no one doubts the unity of the sacrament. We are not able to coordinate local campaigns for the ordination of women from our website. However, we gladly provide information if there are programmes of a long-term nature. Moreover, support for such campaigns can often been found through the national organizations that exist in many countries, most of whose addresses we have. Visit our links page. Also, our website contains much information and many suggestions that may be of great use to you in keeping the idea of women priests alive in your own locality. We are trying to turn this information in ideas that could be helpful on a practical level. These will include: prayers for women priests, material for discussion groups in parishes or chaplaincies, ideas for posters and other supplementary material, ideas for books that can be given as gifts, and so on. We are working on it. If you are interested in all this, please, let me know. Click on the envelope and send me a quick email! Have you tried our women priests screensaver? |

We hope that you have found this document helpful. It costs our small charity on average £10 / $20 / Euro15 to make such a document freely available to you. This is because we have to identify the best scholarship available, retrieve texts, obtain permissions, scan, edit, link and convert documents to html format and run a small office base to make this all possible. We can do this only because we are run almost entirely by volunteers. Please help us build our online library of resources so that more people can access the debate and make up their own minds about women priests. Having benefited from the online library, any donation, small or large, that you can make to support our work would be gratefully appreciated. Click here to learn how to make a donation now. |
