We Are Church (UK) distances itself from the statement made by the Coordinating Team of the International We Are Church Movement on 5 July 2002 regarding events that took place on 29 June 2002.
Because there are many differing opinions about these events among supporters and sympathisers of We Are Church (UK) it was decided, when the matter first came to light, not to issue any direct comment.
We Are Church (UK) operates within the law of the Church and will continue to do so. We give a voice to concerns and needs among the People of God and consider that dialogue is the way to make progress.
